I'm competing on Sunday! 🏋🏽♂️
I need to buy:
☑️ Sugary snacks
☑️ Tons of water
☑️ Some caffeine
Also talked about powerlifting at my coworking space in Philly and here are the slides https://vimeo.com/291009453 (no voice, just the slides)
Love this comic about powerlifting!
It features the diversity of the sport, and it really shows that strength is not just for men of a certain size, age, or ability.
I have other animated illustrations coming up, so stay tuned! 👨🏽🎨
I haven't done SVG animations in a long time, but getting back into it for work!
I wrote a bit about my anxiety over the last couple years. It's a bit off "brand," but I also wanted to share parts of my life that are less fun.
It’s been a while since I last read fiction outside of comic books. Slowly getting back with the short story format. #amreading
Squat is also smooth but this particular day felt like a struggle.
Ugh I suck at bench pressing! Progress on this one is slow.
I’m getting bruises on my legs, but deadlift is currently the smoothest one.
I’m one week out from competition! 😳
Goals: 345lbs deadlift, 325lbs squat, and 210lbs bench.
Hopefully I hit those weights.
Went to the bookstore to pick up a book. Came out with three.
Bye paycheck. 💸
Has anyone tried https://libro.fm/ for audiobooks? Looks cool and looks like they share revenue with local bookstores like Head House Books in Philly! 📕
#amreading Woman World by Aminder Dhaliwal.
It’s a nice, funny comic book about men going extinct. Love that it has characters that are amputees too.
A little time lapse from Seattle ⛴
Heading to Seattle for the design team meetup. 🏙 See you on Friday, Philly!
Oh my god I'm two weeks out from my first powerlifting meet ever!
After 12 weeks of training I feel like I'm ready, but definitely nervous as hell.
Time to watch videos like this to get me pumped up 😤 https://youtu.be/bCYf7Z9BRVU
> What is the most meaningful thing you can do with your life? What’s your contribution to the world or your community? Do you live according to your principles? What will your legacy be? What does your life mean? Maybe our obsession with happiness is a way to not ask those other questions, a way to ignore how spacious our lives can be, how effective our work can be, and how far-reaching our love can be.
“A lot of women I know have been told that they cannot be taken seriously professionally because they will go off and reproduce at some point. And many mothers who do succeed are presumed to be neglecting someone. There is no good answer to how to be a woman; the art may instead lie in how we refuse the question.”

Went to Amalgam Comics and Head House Books today in Philly. Such a nice book-reading day.
